Welcome to my blog, Off the Grid Puerto Rico. The intention of this site, is to first of all, thank all the kind people who has donated money and items to the Go Fund Me campaign; it has been a really gratifying experience. These past months, we have been busy, and I am happy to share some of these experiences with all of you, mostly through my photography and documentation taken since September 2017, time that the archipelago of Puerto Rico and other islands of the Caribbean, got impacted by hurricanes Irma and María. Today, February 25, 2018 we still have a long path towards recovery. Most important of all, we have to remember, that the next hurricane season is only 4 months away. With this in mind, our intention is to empower the residents of Puerto Rico, donating them solar lights, solar chargers, rechargeable fans, mosquito nets, water filters, among other useful gadgets so they can have a better quality of life while off the power grid.
